Our values in action

Reconciliation Action Plan

We are an inclusive school, and part of that involves ensuring our staff, students and community understand, respect and value the First Nations peoples and cultures of Australia.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Our vision for reconciliation is driven by the collective commitment of the Carey community to foster understanding, respect, diversity and inclusivity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community.

Carey is proud to have developed a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the School and with the community.

Developing the RAP is one step in our long journey to reconciliation. Developing meaningful partnerships with First Nations communities locally and in every location our students visit, learn and live is one of our ongoing goals. It is an essential part of ensuring our reconciliation journey is meaningful, productive and sustainable for both non-Indigenous and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community.
