A huge congratulations to all swimmers and divers for their performances at the event!
In the Cricket First XI, Yash (Year 12Su) broke a long-standing Carey individual runs record, scoring a wonderful 200 not out against The Geelong College. He was clearly not fully satisfied, backing it up the following week with 140 runs against Caulfield Grammar.
Max (Year 8F) recently came ninth overall and first out of Victoria students at the recent Junior Australian Triathlon Championships in Perth. A sensational achievement – well done Max!
Sophia (Year 11T) and Izzy (Year 10T) have recently been selected in the Vic Metro Under 16 Football (AFL) Team. We look forward to seeing both girls run around in the Carey colours this Winter Sport season.
We wish both Alice (Year 11M) and Abbey (Year 10M) all the best in next week’s National underage Netball Championships in Sydney, where they will both be representing Victoria.
The final Victoria Inter-Schools race of the summer cycling season was held over the weekend. Raph (Year 9C) who is a member of Hawthorn Cycling Club, finished second to a fast-finishing Melbourne Grammar student in Senior B Grade. To his surprise and delight he finished third in the series, having placed eighth, fourth, first and second in the four races he contested. Congratulations Raph!
Finally, the Sport Office wishes all students and staff a safe and enjoyable break, before we commence the Winter Sport Season in Term 2!
