As the School embarks on an exciting phase of redevelopment, the Mellor Museum will be temporarily closed to visitors until September 2025 to accommodate essential school works. However, the rich history of Carey remains accessible at your fingertips.

During this period, we encourage the Carey community to explore our extensive digital archives through the Carey Collections website. This invaluable resource offers a fascinating journey through the school’s past, featuring historic photographs, past editions of Torch, memorabilia and detailed accounts of Carey’s evolution over the decades. Whether you are a student researching a project, an OCG reminiscing about school days or a parent keen to learn more about Carey’s heritage, the digital archives provide a treasure trove of stories and insights.

The Carey Collections website also includes digitised artefacts, allowing you to engage with the school’s history from anywhere. We are committed to preserving and sharing Carey’s legacy, and this digital platform ensures that our community remains connected to its rich traditions and achievements.

We look forward to reopening the Mellor Museum in September 2025 with refreshed displays and new exhibits that will continue to celebrate Carey’s remarkable history. In the meantime, we invite you to visit the Carey Collections website and immerse yourself in our school’s vibrant past.

For access to the digital archives, please visit archives.carey.com.au.
