We have Book Clubs to interest a range of readers at the CLI Library. They meet at lunchtimes on the first level of the library. Students have chosen the best 10 books published in the previous year to read and discuss over the course of the year.
It’s a great reading challenge, made more fun with meeting up to exchange opinions with likeminded keen readers.
There is a Middle School Book Club for those readers who are happy to read across genres. See some of the books below.
A Fantasy Book Club meets the reading passions of those readers who love magic and dragons and all things supernatural. See some of the books below.
A Graphic Novel Book Club will read both Manga and other graphic novels as well as learn about this way of telling a story. See books below.
A Pride Book Club is springing from the established Pride Group meeting fortnightly. See some of the books below.
A Senior Book Club has been formed to attract Senior School students who still find time for their reading passion. See books below.
The Classic Chats Book Club, which English teacher Kaitlin Young has been running for many years, is still going strong on a Friday, Week B, and still has some original members.
