Over the past year, we have been investigating Carey’s digital space and laying the foundations of a digital transformation strategy. In 2024, we’re building on these foundations and beginning our journey to become the best possible place of learning and work for our students and staff.

As outlined in our Strategic Direction Statement, Carey is committed to investing in new technology and systems, and our digital transformation is a necessary next step to maintain our reputation as a leading school in an ever-evolving education landscape. Student experience and providing our staff and students with the tools to excel are paramount.

This will be a big year for Carey and our plans to roll out the digital transformation Carey needs. We’re well underway with important cybersecurity projects, which we know will require our constant attention and vigilance. Our efforts in this area is of utmost importance as it will help to protect everyone in our community.

We have also already launched our new Technology Services service desk, known as the Tech Hub (pictured), which has been designed to ensure student and staff technology issues are dealt with as efficiently as possible.

User experience is a priority, and we are working with people across various parts of the community to modernise our school management systems to improve the experience of students and staff. Another key priority is upgrading our audiovisual resources to ensure our Carey people are experiencing the most efficient and streamlined experience in the classroom, during presentations and in their day-to-day activities.

This transformation brings with it unique learning opportunities for our students and the best workplace for our staff. Additionally, it will bring a personalised experience for our parents.

We’re committed to collaboration to make this as seamless as possible, and we look forward to letting you know about the exciting updates that will benefit you. If you have any questions relating to the digital transformation, please contact me.
