Learning beyond the classroom.
As part of our co-curricular program, students can get involved in music, drama, community service, debating, theatre production, outdoor education, exchanges, sport and several other activities promoting physical activity such as yoga, dance and bike riding.
All Year 5 and 6 students take part in interschool APS Sport on Wednesday afternoons. In Years 4 to 6, students face fun challenges that provide opportunities for personal growth in our Outdoor Education program.
There are optional activities available, such as private music lessons and chess club, which students can join at all year levels.
Over the course of their time in Junior School, students will also participate in many different community service activities.
All students must elect a summer and winter sport or activity, and many students will enthusiastically embrace a range of optional co-curricular interests throughout their time at Carey.
Students have opportunities to become involved in the performing arts, attend a number of unique Outdoor Education camps, improve their public speaking skills through debating, and develop teamworking skills through sport.
We also have student-led interest groups in the Middle and Senior School, such as the Pride Group, Gender Equity Group, Environment Group and Social Justice Action Group.
